Our surf school is the meeting point for one wanting to learn how to surf or improve.
Located at Praia da Consolação our school is an excellent option for those looking to explore the coast around Peniche. We’ll bring you to the best spot of the day. Peniche offers a variety of surf spots for all levels.
Each teacher works with a maximum of 6 persons at a time. We devote a lot of attention to explanation of rip tides, surf rules and safety in the water.

STAND UP PADDLE
Have fun and challenge yourself on a Stand Up Paddleboard. Explore Peniche area from the water side. Join a First Time Experience class, a Guided Tour or rent material. More info at Penichesupschool.

Teaching surf since 2005
At Tribo do Mar Surf School we believe surfing is not just a sport, but a remedy for life. It is a way to relieve stress, forget your worries, find joy and stay healthy. Surfing is not the easiest sport to learn. It takes time, commitment and perseverance in order to progress. But once you commit and overcome this barrier, the rewards are huge.
Commitment and Knowledge
David have been teaching surf for decades. Naturally, his surf school offers a wealth of knowledge to surfers stepping onto a surfboard for the first time. As a beginner you will learn etiquette, safety, wave dynamics, paddling skills, surfboard positioning, maneuvering, proper stand-up, riding techniques and much more.
Safety
Surfing Safety is our number one priority while teaching. The ocean and waves can be unpredictable at the best of times. During your time with us we make sure you gain knowledge about rips, currents, wind, swell, rules and material.

Tribo do Mar belong to a strong community. We believe in active local collaborations and therefor we love to share our professional community with our visitors. David is the CEO of Tribo do Mar Surf and Sup School, with 25 years of Surf Experience and starts giving classes since 2005. He also made several trips around the world that allowed him to know the best worldwide waves.

Emma Dahl
Born with a tremendous passion and attraction to water. Live today in Peniche to spread it and show you this stunning area from the waterside. Stand up paddle is an activity possible for everyone to enjoy.

David e Emma são duas pessoas incríveis. Reservei na noite anterior. Tudo foi muito rápido e fácil de organizar. Tive a sorte de ter uma sessão privada. Fiz SUP na barragem de S. Domingos e foi fantástico! A Emma é espectacular! Para mim, que tenho pouquíssíma experiência, as suas indicações técnicas foram preciosas. Voltei no dia seguinte para experimentar umas ondas na praia da Consolação, com o Cláudio. Mais uma experiência que adorei! Vou voltar! Great staff!!

Fizemos o "Berlengas Island Tour" com a Ema e só posso dizer que foi incrível!
O material é excelente e a Ema é super divertida e bem disposta.
Vale muito a pena conhecer as Berlengas através deste Tour que tem tudo incluído :) Além disso, a Ema tira fotografias super bonitas para recordação da experiência.
Tivemos também muita sorte, pois na travessia de barco para as Berlengas tivemos a oportunidade de ver golfinhos!
